Places to Take Your Dogs -And Cats, if They're Into That

All pet-friendly parks in Connecticut.

Dog Park- a place to have fun with your pets.

Why are dog parks important? Dog parks give both the dogs and their owners a chance to socialize and exercise in a safe place. It's a lot of fun, and a unique experience.

What is a dog park? In my map, I considered every pet-friendly open space as a dog park. The truth is, there are many types of parks. This is a map showing which categories of park each park actually is.

Park Type

There are many places to take your pet, whether it is a park, reserve, or backyard, but this map will tell you if the city the place is in is actually considered a "public park". Public parks aren't the only places allowing dogs, but they are some of the easier ones to go to if you want to look them up on Google Maps.

All dog parks require you to have a licensed dog (as well as the law). To figure out how to license your dog, click this link:  https://portal.ct.gov/-/media/DOAG/Animal_Control/2016/DoglicenseinEnglish2016pdf.pdf

Happy Barking!

Also, to the reviewers of this contest, I had compiled over 475 points, but my ArcGIS map did not register many of them in Connecticut. This is why some of the maps have points outside of Connecticut.

Thank you so much to my lovely and supporting teacher, Mrs. Ferris.

You are awesome!
