CEPF Caribbean Islands Phase II Projects

Established in 2000, the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) provides grants to civil society organisations (CSOs) to help protect biodiversity hotspots. CEPF has awarded more than 2,300 grants in 98 countries and territories.

During its first investment in the Caribbean Islands (2010-2016), CEPF awarded 77 grants in 25 Key Biodiversity Areas (KBAs). The second investment, which was launched in 2021, is expected to support CSOs to carry out work in 32 Key Biodiversity Areas (KBAs) in Antigua & Barbuda, The Bahamas, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Jamaica, Saint Lucia, and St Vincent & the Grenadines.

You must zoom in to see each pin separately. You can also use the arrows at the top and bottom of the display windows to browse through the projects and KBAs.

The CEPF is a joint initiative of l’Agence Française de Développement, Conservation International, the European Union, Fondation Hans Wilsdorf, the Global Environment Facility, the Government of Japan and the World Bank. The CEPF Phase II investment (August 2021 – July 2026) in the Caribbean Islands Biodiversity Hotspot is financed through the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund – Caribbean Hotspot Project of the World Bank, using funds provided by the Government of Japan.
