Overview
Virtual Care: Bringing Health Care Closer to Home
Virtual Care is any interaction between a patient and their health care provider(s) that uses technology to help them attend appointments and consultations from a distance.
The purpose of virtual care is to make appointments easier to attend and to ensure patients are getting the care they need

Full Site Locations
To help you find a virtual care (telehealth) site/facility near you, the map of Newfoundland and Labrador to the right shows all the places that provide virtual video appointments/services (telehealth). When you select a location (coloured dot), an information box opens that provides details about the site/facility selected, such as:
- Facility Name
- Address
- Telephone Number
- Regional Health Zone
- Virtual Care Services Offered
- Virtual Care Website
Eastern Zone - Urban
Eastern-Urban Zone houses the tertiary healthcare centres of the province. Many of the specialists based out of this Zone offer virtual care services to more remote areas of the province. Virtual outpatient and inpatient services are also available at the local healthcare and long term care facilities in this Zone. The Eastern-Urban Zone includes the following communities: Conception Bay South, Witless Bay and Bay Bulls. For Greater St. John’s area, all municipalities east of Conception Bay South and Witless Bay up to and including Pouch Cove, except for Bell Island.

Eastern Zone - Rural
Eastern-Rural Zone offers virtual outpatient and inpatient services at many of the local healthcare and long-term care facilities in rural Newfoundland. Virtual emergency, urgent care, preadmission and/or primary care services are available at select sites, as needed. This zone includes the communities of Holyrood, Southern Avalon and Bell Island, as well as all municipalities west of Holyrood and Witless Bay up to and including Port Blandford.

Central Zone
Central Zone offers virtual outpatient and inpatient services at many of the region's local healthcare and long-term care facilities. Virtual emergency, urgent care and primary care services are available at select sites as needed. The Central Zone’s geographical boundaries are from Charlottetown in the east, Fogo Island in the north, Harbour Breton in the south, to Baie Verte in the west.

Western Zone
Western Zone offers virtual outpatient and inpatient services at many of the region's local healthcare and long-term care facilities. Virtual emergency, urgent care and primary care services are available at select sites as needed. Western Zone’s geographical boundaries are from Port aux Basques southeast to Francois, northwest to Bartlett’s Harbour, and on the eastern boundary north to Jackson’s Arm.

Labrador-Grenfell Zone
The Labrador-Grenfell Zone (LGZ) offers a variety of virtual care services including community-based primary health care, outpatient and in-patient services, virtual emergency, urgent care, and virtual preadmission services. LGZ’s virtual care platform has evolved to incorporate several specialty services, allowing for the expansion of critical care and specialty consultations. The zone covers all Labrador and the communities north of Bartlett’s Harbour on the Great Northern Peninsula. This zone is inclusive of three Indigenous groups: the Innu, Inuit, and Southern Inuit in Labrador.
