Health Care Access and Quality
Nationally, many people do not get the health care services they need. Locally, about 1 in 17 people don’t have health insurance. People without insurance are less likely to be able to afford the health care services and medications they need. Even for those with health insurance, lack of access to health care facilities and out-of-pocket costs can lead to deferred care. Access to quality health care is key to improving health and well-being.
