A tour of the invasive Gypsy Moth sightings in Oregon
Gypsy Moths have been a large concern for the Oregon department of agriculture for many years. This tour is of the 2017 sightings in Oregon.

Multnomah County
In Multnomah county surrounding the larges city in Oregon, Portland, there were 3 moth sightings. Pictured above is the top view of the invasive Gypsy moth (Lymantria dispar).

Benton County
In Benton county around 8 miles west of the busy highway I5, there were 5 moth sightings. Pictured above is the caterpillar life stage of the invasive Gypsy moth (Lymantria dispar).
Lane County
In Lane county just south of Eugene and about 2 miles west of the I5 corridor , there were 2 moth sightings. Pictured above is the fresh eggs on a tree that were just laid by an adult Gypsy moth (Lymantria dispar).
Josephine County
In Josephine county just east of highway 199 and south of Cave Junction, there was 1 moth sighting. Pictured above is an up close view of the invasive Gypsy moth (Lymantria dispar).
