3 - The Little Miami Scenic Trail

From Milford to Xenia via Loveland Castle, King's Mills, and George Barrett's Concrete House

This map and its embedded images suggest only some of the content of this bicycle tour. For the stories behind these places and why they are important, we hope you will read our book,  Bicycling Through Paradise .

This tour runs mostly along the Little Miami Scenic Trail, so this is an easy route. (Note that this is part of the Ohio-To-Erie Trail.) We’ll take a few detours to see historic sites (taking some hills in the process), but we’ll always return to the trail. This tour has four segments, going from Milford to Xenia. The total one-way distance is over 55 miles, but each segment is fun to ride independently. For anyone planning a weekend trip, there are overnight accommodations in Waynesville and Xenia.

Tour Distance: Over 55 miles one way

Segment 1 - Milford to Loveland

  • Distance: 9.2 miles
  • Terrain: mostly flat

Segment 2 - Loveland to Morrow
