Introduction

Thank you for visiting the State Street, West of 8 th  Street to 14 th  Street, Concept Design survey. ACHD is working with the City of Boise, Capital City Development Corporation, and Valley Regional Transit to perform essential pavement maintenance, while improving safety on State Street for all users. We would like your input on how you use State Street today, what challenges you encounter, and your ideas for potential solutions to improve safety.

Project Background

ACHD is developing a concept design to perform essential pavement maintenance and improve safety along State Street, especially for people crossing State Street. When completed, the project will:

  • Rehabilitate existing pavement and drainage issues
  • Improve how State Street works for all people using it
  • Improve safety for people crossing State Street
  • Be in line with ACHD goals and standards
  • Stay within the existing right-of-way
  • Work with the upcoming redevelopment of the area, such as the YMCA / Block 68 Redevelopment Project

Next Steps

ACHD, working with their project team, will review your feedback and identify potential alternative concept designs for State Street. We will present these concepts for your feedback in Spring 2024. The final concept is expected to be presented for adoption in Spring / Summer 2024.
