Arden Neighbourhood Forum (2023 to 2028) and the Arden Neighbourhood Area were designated by the Portfolio Holder for Planning on 20 March 2024.

Bitteswell NDP

Bitteswell Parish Council, as the relevant body, applied for the designation of the Bitteswell Neighbourhood Area on 3rd October 2016. The application was published for a six week period ending on  20th December 2016.

Little Bowden Neighbourhood Forum

The Council has determined that the Little Bowden Neighbourhood Area is an appropriate area to designate for the purposes of 61G of the Act and accords with the considerations set out in National Planning Policy Guidance (NPPG) and Little Bowden Neighbourhood Area is therefore a logical boundary for planning purposes and has been approved for designation by the Portfolio Holder for Planning and Director for Planning and Regeneration.

Lutterworth Town Council as the Qualifying Body applied to designate the entire Parish of Lutterworth as a Neighbourhood Area on 22 June 2017.

Thurnby and Bushby NDP

Thurnby and Bushby Parish Council, as the relevant body, applied for the designation of the Thurnby and Bushby Neighbourhood Area. The application was published for a six week period ending on 18 March 2016 and was approved by the Portfolio Holder for Planning Services on 22 March 2016.

Ullesthorpe Parish Council, as the Qualifying Body, applied to designate the Ullesthorpe Neighbourhood Area on 12 July 2017.

Welland Neighbourhood Forum

The Council has determined that the Welland Neighbourhood Plan Area is an appropriate area to designate for the purposes of 61G of the Act and accords with the considerations set out in National Planning Policy Guidance (NPPG) and Welland Neighbourhood Plan Area is therefore a logical boundary for planning purposes and has been approved for designation by the Portfolio Holder for Planning.

Logan and Town Centre Neighbourhood Forum and Neighbourhood Area were designated on 16 May 2024.

Arden Neighbourhood Plan

Arden Neighbourhood Forum (2023 to 2028) and the Arden Neighbourhood Area were designated by the Portfolio Holder for Planning on 20 March 2024.

The Forum is consulting on and preparing the Plan

Bitteswell NDP

Bitteswell Parish Council, as the relevant body, applied for the designation of the Bitteswell Neighbourhood Area on 3rd October 2016. The application was published for a six week period ending on  20th December 2016.

The designation of Bitteswell Neighbourhood Area was approved by the Portfolio Holder for Planning on the 31 January 2017

Bitteswell Parish Council as the Qualifying Body undertook the Regulation 14 consultation between 5 April 2021 and 23 May 2021

Little Bowden Neighbourhood Forum

The Council has determined that the Little Bowden Neighbourhood Area is an appropriate area to designate for the purposes of 61G of the Act and accords with the considerations set out in National Planning Policy Guidance (NPPG) and Little Bowden Neighbourhood Area is therefore a logical boundary for planning purposes and has been approved for designation by the Portfolio Holder for Planning and Director for Planning and Regeneration.

The specified area has been submitted by a relevant body, is not more appropriate to designate as a Business Area, has not previously been designated, includes the majority of the Little Bowden ward area, does not overlap with another designated area, and provides a logical and coherent planning boundary for policy making.

Little Bowden Neighbourhood Forum (2022-2027) has demonstrated that it is capable of meeting the conditions for designation (see section 61F(5) of the of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 as applied to Neighbourhood Plans by section 38A of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004). Little Bowden Neighbourhood Forum (2022-2027) has also explained what steps it has taken to meet the conditions for designation.

Lutterworth NDP

Lutterworth Town Council as the Qualifying Body applied to designate the entire Parish of Lutterworth as a Neighbourhood Area on 22 June 2017.

In accordance with Regulation 5A of the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations the Local Authority must exercise their powers under section 61G of the 1990 Act to designate the specified area as a neighbourhood area.

The Portfolio Holder for Planning approved the designation on 26 June 2017

Thurnby and Bushby NDP

Thurnby and Bushby Parish Council, as the relevant body, applied for the designation of the Thurnby and Bushby Neighbourhood Area. The application was published for a six week period ending on 18 March 2016 and was approved by the Portfolio Holder for Planning Services on 22 March 2016.

Ullesthorpe NDP

Ullesthorpe Parish Council, as the Qualifying Body, applied to designate the Ullesthorpe Neighbourhood Area on 12 July 2017.

In accordance with Part 2 Regulation 5 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 The Council is able to confirm that the organisation making the application is a Relevant Body for the purposes of section 61G of the 1990 Act and the application is in compliance with Part 2 Regulation 5 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012.

The application was published for a 6 week period ending on 12 July 2017 and was approved by the Portfolio Holder for Planning Services on 9 October 2017

Welland Neighbourhood Forum

The Council has determined that the Welland Neighbourhood Plan Area is an appropriate area to designate for the purposes of 61G of the Act and accords with the considerations set out in National Planning Policy Guidance (NPPG) and Welland Neighbourhood Plan Area is therefore a logical boundary for planning purposes and has been approved for designation by the Portfolio Holder for Planning.

The specified area has been submitted by a relevant body, is not more appropriate to designate as a Business Area, has not previously been designated, includes the majority of the Welland ward area, does not overlap with another designated area, and provides a logical and coherent planning boundary for policy making.

Welland Neighbourhood Forum (2023-2028) applied to be designated in March 2023 . A 6 week consultation was held by the Local Planning Authority ending on 11 July 2022.. Welland Neighbourhood Forum (2023-2028) has demonstrated that it is capable of meeting the conditions for designation (see section 61F(5) of the of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 as applied to Neighbourhood Plans by section 38A of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004. Welland Neighbourhood Forum (2023-2028) has also explained what steps it has taken to meet the conditions for designation.The Forum application was approved by the Portfolio Holder for Planning Services on 18 July 2023. The Forum expires after five years on 17 July  2028..

Logan and Town Centre Neighbourhood Forum

Logan and Town Centre Neighbourhood Forum and Neighbourhood Area were designated on 16 May 2024.
