Prince George's County's Roadway Preservation Program

2023 Construction Season as of October 2023

The Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPW&T) is responsible for managing and maintaining one of the county’s most valuable assets – a public street network with more than 2,000 miles. Our overall efforts are aimed at keeping the county’s streets in a state of good repair and extending their lifespan. Pavement preservation ranges from pothole patching to longer term resurfacing and extensive road reconstruction. • Lower cost helps to treat and cover more miles of roadway than traditional overlay.
  • Ability to fill ruts and uneven surface profiles for smoother roadways.

What are the benefits of Slurry Seal?

  • Safer Driving Conditions
  • Faster return to traffic
