Erie to Corry Trail Draft Alignments
The potential Erie to Corry segment could become the Erie County portion of the Erie to Pittsburgh Trail, which is expected to span approximately 270 miles upon completion. The system is estimated to be 66% complete, and the Erie to Corry segment would further contribute to its development.
The Erie to Pittsburgh Trail will connect Point State Park in downtown Pittsburgh to the Bayfront at Centennial Town in Erie, but the original alignment from 2006 passes through southwestern New York State instead of heading directly north into Erie County. The Erie to Corry Study aims to identify a potential realignment of the northernmost segment of the Erie to Pittsburgh Trail by routing through Corry, rather than New York State. By realigning this portion of the trail system, the City of Corry, the Borough of Union City, the City of Erie, and other municipalities along the way could experience benefits to health, local economies, and residents’ quality of life. The virtual tour will illustrate the potential trail alignment to connect Corry to Erie as part of the regional Erie to Pittsburgh Trail.
