The Return of The Seattle Supersonics

Final Project

1

Key Arena

Shown here is the location of the former stadium of the Supersonics named the Key Arena. This location is now known as the Climate Pledge Arena and houses the WNBA team the Seattle Storm.

2

Madison Square

Shown above is the home stadium for the New York Knicks, which is an extremely well known NBA team, whose stadium provides a clear example of a successful stadium location. MSG is located in the center of downtown New York, this turns the stadium into its own landmark that attracts tourists and brings in more revenue.

3

Fiserv Forum

Shown here is the home stadium for the Milwaukee Bucks, in contrast to the Knicks the Bucks are a small market team (located in a smaller city) and this is reflected in the stadium. Fiserv Forum is more catered to function over being a major tourist attraction so the location is more applicable to the Supersonics.

4

Lumen Field

Displayed above is Lumen Field, the stadium for the Seattle Seahawks, and provides the blueprint for successful professional stadiums in Seattle.

Possible New Stadium

Shown here is my proposed location for a new stadium for the Supersonics. This area is in prime real estate as it would overlook the famous Space Needle and is close to major roads to help with traffic. Additionally, the current lot is not being used and could be repurposed for the stadium
