Road Construction in Cote d’Ivoire

Road Project: Bouna-Doropo-Burkina Faso Border

Project objectives

The project aims at overcoming the isolation of the landlocked “North–East” part of the country which is considered rich in agricultural production. The project aims to facilitate the transport of agricultural products to markets and facilitate access to administrative and social services. It will also help in the expansion and integration of the paved roads network in the country connecting it to Burkina Faso, which is a land locked country, thus contributes to the economic integration and trade exchange between the two countries.

Project Description

The project consists of civil works and ancillaries for the construction of an asphalt road about 91km long and 7m wide, with two shoulders, each of 1.8m width outside of village and 2.3m in the village.

The project also consisted of:

  • Consultancy services
  • Support to the implementation unit, Account Audit, and Land Acquisition.
