Deploying ArcGIS Enterprise for ArcGIS Indoors

ArcGIS Indoors is a complete system for indoor mapping, indoor wayfinding, and indoor analytics. To enable these capabilities across an organization, ArcGIS Indoors comes with a variety of ArcGIS software components and licensing. 

At its foundation, ArcGIS Indoors is hosted, configured, and licensed through ArcGIS Enterprise. Indoors comes with all the components for a base deployment of ArcGIS Enterprise Advanced and the Spatiotemporal Big Data Store and GeoEvent Server to optionally enable device tracking and real-time analytics. On top of Enterprise, Indoors includes the ArcGIS Indoors web and mobile applications, Web AppBuilder, ArcGIS Dashboards, Collector for ArcGIS, and Survey123 for ArcGIS. Also included is ArcGIS Pro Advanced, the Indoors Tools geoprocessing toolbox, and the ArcGIS Pro extensions necessary to run the Indoors tools and publish content.  

The first step in an ArcGIS Indoors implementation is to deploy an ArcGIS Enterprise environment. When deploying your environment, please use the following section for reference. 

When deploying ArcGIS Enterprise for an Indoors implementation as part of the  Level 2 Facility Mapping Solution , not all software provided with the Indoors product will be used. For example, GeoEvent Server, and subsequently the geofencing capability, is part of the Level 3 Facility Mapping Solution as it is a more advanced component.

Below is a reference capacity and architecture based on 35 concurrent or 350 light users with location tracking for 350 people using ArcGIS Enterprise 10.8.
