Greetings! I am  Jefri Gibson Nababan , a dedicated forest planner with a passion for designing and implementing strategic land use plans that balance economic, ecological, and social considerations. With a focus on sustainable resource management, I bring a wealth of experience in navigating the intersection of forestry, environmental science, and community engagement.

In my role as a forest planner in  Perum Perhutani , I have honed my expertise in sustainable forest management. My approach involves integrating cutting-edge technology, environmental principles, and stakeholder collaboration to develop comprehensive forest management strategies.

BACKGROUND

Why does Perum Perhutani need to develop PHOTOGRAPH?

AIMS AND OUTPUTS

What are the aims of this project?

  1. To build a digital map and dashboard of carbon stocks monitoring.
  2. To calculate carbon savings, biomass, carbon dioxide sequestration and oxygen production.

What are the outputs of this project?

  1. The PHOTOGRAPH: a digital map and dashboard.
  2. The value of carbon savings, biomass, carbon dioxide sequestration and oxygen production.

METHOD

Where is the location of the project?

Teak Forest in RPH Cisujien, Sukabumi, Perum Perhutani (area with yellow colour)

What kind of Data that the project needed?

Tree Volume in RPH Cisujen, Sukabumi 2023 Teak Plantation Forest Boundaries (shapefile) 2023 Wood Density of Teak Biomass Expansion Factor of Teak

How to calculate the Biomass, Carbon Savings, Carbon Dioxide Sequestration and Oxygen Production?

What step should we do first?

1. Data Collection

gather all information about tree volume and boundaries in KPH Sukabumi.

2. Biomass, Carbon, Carbon Dioxide and Oxygen Calculation

calculate the values according to the formula.

3. Biomass, Carbon, Carbon Dioxide and Oxygen Mapping

create the map with ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online

4. PHOTOGRAPH Desigining

build "PHOTOGRAPH" dashboard with ArcGIS Online

RESULT

The ensuing presentation features the dashboard, an output derived from this project, displayed below for reference. Check this out:  https://www.arcgis.com/apps/dashboards/653351862dae425182d83f556c7ce0b8

PHOTOGRAPH is poised to present comprehensive data pertaining to the quantification and distribution of Biomass, Carbon Savings, Carbon Dioxide Sequestration and Oxygen Production within KPH Sukabumi.

Total Value of Biomass, Carbon Savings, Carbon Dioxide Sequestration and Oxygen Production in RPH Cisujen, Sukabumi.

The graph above shows that the value of biomass, carbon saving, carbon dioxide sequestration and oxygen production in RPH Cisujen is 35,672.55 ton; 16,766.1 ton; 61,531.58 ton and 44,765.48 ton respectively.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, PHOTOGRAPH serves as a valuable tool for Perhutani in monitoring carbon stocks, contributing to the fulfillment of Indonesia's NDC. Furthermore, PHOTOGRAPH provides a detailed presentation of biomass, carbon savings, carbon dioxide sequestration, and oxygen production values in RPH Cisujen, quantifying them at 35,672.55 ton, 16,766.1 ton, 61,531.58 ton, and 44,765.48 ton, respectively.
