Fighting Creek Park
Located in the Village of Powhatan, the park includes public walking trails, playgrounds, pavilions, picnic areas and Virginia's longest disc golf course The Monster.
The trails include a quarter, half mile and two & half mile loops with guided signage along with amenities like benches, waterfalls, picnic areas, amphitheater and exercise equipment.

The park also has soccer fields, baseball & softball fields with ample parking for events. The Monster disc golf course is home to many tournaments with an 18-hole course challenging enough for the pros.

Powhatan State Park
Located along the beautiful James River near Maidens, Powhatan State Park has over 2.5 miles of river frontage with three canoe/kayak/SUP slide launches to use for water activities.
The park also has about 12 miles of walking trails for pedestrians and horses. There are three shelter picnic shelters with one playground.
Camping is highly desired at the park with various unique options to view the incredible night sky with yurts, campsites with electric and water as well as primitive camp sites.

Powhatan Wildlife Management Area
The wildlife management area encompasses over 4,462 acres for outdoor enthusiasts. Recreational opportunities include hunting, trapping, primitive camping, fishing, hiking, horseback riding and birding.

Belmead Equestrian Club
