I like everything about Glacier, I have been there multiple times. There are plenty of things to explore. I have family near there and we vacation there during summer. Glacier never fails to disappoint because of how much stuff there is.

History of Glacier

Glacier National Park was established on May 11, 1910. An estimated 3 million people come to Glacier per year. The reason tourists came to Glacier was its beautiful scenery. Why are there so many lakes in Glacier? About 10,000 years ago glaciers began to retreat. After all the glaciers melted they created lakes. How were the mountains in Glacier formed? The mountains were formed from the tectonic plates moving around and creating mountains.

Environment of Glacier

The tallest mountain in Glacier is Mount Cleveland. The biggest lake is 10 miles long. The most known animals are Grizzly's and mountain goats. How do the lakes get the fresh turquoise color? They get it from the fine particles of pulverized rock that absorb and scatter sunlight. How does the continental divide work? The divide is whether the water goes to the east or the west of the continent. What kinds of animals live in the lakes, rivers, wetlands, and marshes? Glacier includes amphibians, fish, and reptiles.

Architecture of Glacier

There are houses as old as 1912. The Going to the Sun Road was built in 1933. The Belton Bridge was built in 1920. The Hungry Horse Dam was built for hydroelectric power and water storage. Going-to-the-Sun-Road was built using dynamite and carving into the side of the mountain. Belton Bridge was built as an entrance at first, then it was used as a hangout spot.

Two points that are related to architecture.
