Northern Michigan's June 2021 Climatology
Above normal temperatures for all climate sites with sporadic values of precipitation throughout the forecast area.
- All climate sites had above normal temperatures for the month, although none took the top spot...as the early 1900's appear to have been hotter than we have been in more than the last 100 years!
- None of the climate sites reached the top ten status for "wetter" or "drier" for precipitation totals for the month of June. Only Houghton Lake took the honors for being above normal with them getting lucky one day of the month while all the other sites were wanting and needing rain. On June 9th a training thunderstorm dumped 2.10" of rain in only a couple hours to bring them to above normal for the month. Without this one day total of rain, they would have been about a half an inch below normal for the month.
