Australia's Initiatives
The Australia Awards Scholarships provide opportunities for people from PICs to study full-time at Australian tertiary institutions.
The Australia Awards Pacific Scholarships provide opportunities for people from PICs to study at selected education institutions in the Pacific Islands region.
The ACIAR Pacific Scholarships offer scholarships to research students in agricultural, forestry, and fisheries at the University of the South Pacific and Fiji National University.
The Canberra Fellowships Program brings pre-eminent and emerging leaders from the Indo-Pacific region to Australia for a personalised program of meetings and events with government, civil society, and academics.
The Pacific Agriculture Scholarships, Support and Climate Resilience Program (PASS-CR) works with regional universities to advance agricultural research.
China's Initiatives
The Chinese Government PIF Scholarship supports PIC citizens to study and conduct research in China.
The Chinese Bilateral Scholarship program supports PIC citizens to study and conduct research in China.
Japan's Initiatives
The ADB-Japan Scholarship Program offers funding for talented students in the Asia-Pacific to attend a selection of Asian educational institutions in Japan, the US, India, China, etc.
New Zealand's Initiatives
The New Zealand Pacific Scholarships provide support for people from PICS to study full-time at New Zealand tertiary institutions.
Taiwan's Initiatives
Every year the Taiwan Government provides around 15 scholarships to Palauan students to pursue education in fields such as health, education, engineering, and agriculture.
United States' Initiatives
The United States-South Pacific Scholarship Program supports people from PICs to study at the University of Hawai’i.
The Fullbright Graduate Student Program support people for up to two years of graduate study in the United States.
USAID offers scholarships every year to gifted graduate students from PICs. Successful applicants are sent to the University of Hawaii to study fields of finance, law, and information systems. 12 PICs participate in the program.
United Kingdom's Initiatives
The Commonwealth PhD Scholarships provide PhD scholarships for citizens of least-developed countries.
The Commonwealth Masters Scholarships provide Masters's scholarships for citizens of low and middle-income countries.
Chevening offers fully funded scholarships and fellowships to individuals to study in nearly any field at UK universities, while fellowships cater to mid-senior professionals seeking specialized courses or research.
