Tornadoes of Texas

The second largest state in the US has a yearly average of 5.7 tornadoes per 10,000 square miles

Texas has a large number of Tornadoes mostly due to its sheer size, and location. Texas is such a big state which results in warm air and cool air mixing, turning into violently rotating columns of air.
