Adding Portal Genius to Esri’s ArcGIS Marketplace

The ArcGIS Marketplace is a curated digital geospatial channel of system-ready apps, content, solutions, and professional services from Esri’s ecosystem of partners, designed to help ArcGIS users identify and discover additional resources for ArcGIS software.

Over time, clients can see the content in their portal growing when using ArcGIS Portal or ArcGIS Online. In fact, it is growing in such a way that even the people who are involved in managing the portal have started to lose track of the content, which consists of items, groups and users, and especially items that can be connected. Breaking those connections can disrupt end users’ processes, while working with the ArcGIS Fields Maps application, for example.

Portal Genius helps ArcGIS Portal managers by making all information visible. All this data is easy to find in an Excel-style format which includes different filters and visuals. This makes it easy to find and filter items for a particular user, for example.

The graphs produced by Portal Genius give a visual representation of how items are connected. For instance, those graphs can show you how a feature service is used in a particular webmap, which in turn helps with the maintenance of this service. The impact of removing the service or changing it is immediately visible.
