Stop 2: Maple Street Biscuit Co. (350 feet)
18 E. North Street
You'll need some energy for your journey, so stop at Maple Street Biscuit Co. on the right-hand side of North Street. Go ahead and order a Squawking Goat biscuit with your small-batch roast coffee, and don't resist the urge to taste-test one of their twisty entrées!

Stop 3: Christ Church Episcopal (0.2 miles)
10 N. Church Street
Continue your trek on E. North to the corner of Church Street. Safely cross the road and you'll see the oldest church in downtown Greenville, Christ Church Episcopal .
Built in 1854, CCE is the only downtown church with a graveyard. Vardry McBee , affectionately dubbed "The Father of Greenville," is buried here. Inside, stunning stained glass windows are highlighted by an original (and magnificent) Tiffany.
After enjoying the churchyard, be sure to ask if they're running a tour during your visit.

Stop 4: Pettigru Historic District (0.4 miles)
Pettigru Street
Head further on E. North one block, take a right turn on Broadus Avenue, and then it'll intersect Pettigru Street.
As you enjoy your walk along the street, make note that just one block more (on Manly St.), Eugenia Duke started her sandwich-making business (later becoming Duke's Sandwich Co. and Duke's Mayonnaise .)
The last house on the left on Pettigru Street was built in 1900 and is regarded as the most impressive Victorian home in the Pettigru Historic District . Alexander Graham built the house from successful textile investments like the Huguenot Mill on the Reedy River (now part of the Peace Center complex.)
A few blocks up to the left, be sure to say hi to the folks at the Pettigru Place Bed & Breakfast (302 Pettigru Street) and check out the charming rooms that make them one of the city's favorite B&Bs.
5
Stop 5: You Got This Mural (0.5 miles)
1301 E. Washington Street
Next, make your way to E. Washington Street and check out the You Got This mural on the side of Run In Greenville!
Created by Lacey Hennessy, this mural shows a person running with the bottom of the shoe lifted up; the mural title is on the sole of the shoe.

Stop 6: Cleveland Park (0.4 miles)
150 Cleveland Park Drive
At 122 acres, the City of Greenville's largest park has paved and natural trails, playgrounds, workout stations, picnic shelters, and large greenspaces on which to play.
At Cleveland Park , the 28-mile-long Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail runs past spots for tennis, volleyball, baseball, and basketball.
The park is also home to the Rock Quarry Garden , the Vietnam Veterans Memorial , and the Major Rudolf Anderson, Jr. Memorial .
The memorial was dedicated to Major Rudolf Anderson, Jr., a Greenville native and Air Force hero. He was killed when his plane was shot down over Cuba in 1962. The memorial was created just a year later and featured the F-86 Sabre Jet. On the 50th anniversary of his death, the memorial was updated with storyboards about the Cuban Missile Crisis and other pilots' contributions.

Curious orangutans, cuddly red pandas, majestic lions, and many more call this zoo their home. Every visitor has their favorite animal, but the giraffe exhibit is special to locals.
The Greenville Zoo cares about wildlife. The zoo is among only 10% of U.S. exhibitors to be AZA-accredited, meaning they display a steady commitment to animal welfare. The attentive staff are also dedicated to promoting conservation through youth education programs throughout the summer and school year.
