
The ACC notes that LDPE is used to manufacture: 1) bags for dry cleaning, newspapers, bread, frozen foods, fresh produce, and household garbage; 2) shrink wrap and stretch film; 3) coating for paper milk cartons and hot and cold beverage cups; 4) container lids; 5) toys; and 6) squeezable bottles. In addition to packaging, LDPE’s major uses are in injection molding applications, adhesives and sealants, and wire and cable coverings.
