2022 Bean Days 5K (Saturday July 16,2022)

Since 2011, the Bean Days 5K has been a yearly destination for runners and walkers of all ages. The popularity of this event over the past eleven years has been made possible by the fantastic support we have received from our sponsors and community. This year, the Bean Days 5K will once again coincide with the Annual Montpelier Bean Days Festival, please join the Montpelier Firefighter’s Association for the 11th Annual Bean Days 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Kids Run! Proceeds from this event will benefit the Montpelier Fire Department. Thank you for your support!

The Bean Days 5k and the Kids 1 mile fun run starts and finishes at the Montpelier Exempted Village Schools Campus located at 1015 East Brown Road in Montpelier, Ohio. The 5K is an out and back which takes through the south side neighborhoods of Montpelier. The course is open and is set up to always have the participants facing traffic in a "left side curb side" posture. Numerous road guards are positioned on the course to help the participants.

Top three (3) overall male and female runners receive plaques.

Top five (5) overall male and female walkers receive plaques.

Top three male and female runners in the following age categories receive medals: 11 and under, 12-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.

All kids between ages 4 and 12who complete the 1 mile kids fun run will receive an award.

The 1 mile fun run is a free event which is open to all kids ages 4 through 12.

Registration and check-in begins at 7:00 am

Kids 1 mile fun run will begin at 8:00 am

Bean Days 5K will begin at 8:30 am and the awards ceremony will commence after the last participant has finished (approx. 9:30 am)
