Setagaya City
Midterm
I think this image follows the theme of views. This picture was taken by myself when I first came to Japan. This is a pedestrian. Usually, a lot of people come to buy drinks. The contrast between green vegetation and red leaves makes it difficult to distinguish the seasons. The clouds are very low and three-dimensional as if you can reach the horizon if you keep walking.
This night image of Sakura Jingu Shrine fits the Signage theme. The ancient and majestic shrine in the day looks similar to many other shrines across Tokyo but comes alive at night with a reflection of pink cherry blossoms. White light and pink cherry reflections on the ground seem to indicate a way to the shrine. This is Instagrammable that this scene can only be seen for half a month of the year.
a) The restaurant I chose was Gyoza no Ohsho and they mainly serve Japanese Chinese food, like fried dumplings and fried rice. It is cheap and tastes better than other Japanese Chinese restaurants. The environment of the restaurant is not very good and noisy. Every time I finish my meal, my clothes smell of oil. Their target customers are students and office workers.
b) The use of geotags helps the business to obtain more engagement and help local followers find their way to your physical store. Through activities with visitors on social media, you can invite them to come by and check. This means you can get more customers and profits.
c) They can use location based hashtags, such as #SetagayaGyoza or #Tokyofoodie.
I reduced the exposure, contrast, and highlight, and increased shade to make the picture more colorful and clearer.
I reduced explore, contrast, highlight and increased shade to make the lights less harsh and create an evening atmosphere.
Latitude lines run east-west and longitude lines run north-south. Lat the scale is 0-90 for lon 0-180. Latitudes south of the equator are negative. Longitudes west of the prime meridian are negative.
The smartphone has GPS that global position system. There is a network of 30 satellites 12000 miles overhead orbiting the earth. Each satellite broadcasts a radio signal that provides the precise time and the signal travels at the speed of light through space down to the GPS receiver in a smartphone. There is a delay in this process and it can be used by phone to calculate the exact distance between the smartphone and the satellite. Tracking smartphones needs at least three satellites in a process called trilateration, One smartphone will be located by at least 4 satellites. Three satellites will have an overlapping region and intersecting area. Based on Satellites A and B, there are two possible points you will be. The Satellite C will finally ensure your exact location and the 4th satellite is a safeguard that correcting for any clock errors. Because sometimes the GPS signal will be interfered with.
