Franklin County Business Parks

Business Park Sites

Franklin County is strategically located along the I-81 corridor less than an hour from Harrisburg in south-central Pennsylvania. With I-81 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-76) traversing the region, more than two-thirds of the county is within a 15-minute drive of a major interstate. Rail service is another important asset in Franklin County. The county is currently home to two intermodal terminals as well as several rail lines.

A drive time areas analysis was added to this project to illustrate the proximity of business parks to I-81 and Pennsylvania Turnpike interchanges. The 5-minute, 10-minute and 15-minute drive time areas represent the area that could be driven to based upon constraints of the road network such as: speed limit, one-way streets, road type access limitations, height restrictions, etc. Tractor trailer drive times and car drive times were determined and presented separately, as height restrictions on some routes may limit and impact tractor trailer traffic. Exits 1, 3 and 5 were combined to simplify the representation and accommodate a considerable overlap.

All information and data are provided for visualization purposes only. The parcels, infographics and drive time areas included are current as of Summer 2022.
