Artwork on Main Street Reflects Worcester's Past

Take a Tour of the City's Recent Public Art Installations

The City of Worcester's Cultural Development Office and Department of Public Works & Parks, in partnership with the  Worcester Cultural Coalition , are working with the  Public Art Working Group  (PAWG) to incorporate the arts, place-making, and Worcester’s cultural heritage into public spaces around the city.

As part of its  Main Street Reimagined initiative , the City recently installed a series of public art pieces along the North Main Street corridor. Each piece reflects elements of Worcester's history, culture, and community in creative ways. The artwork, along with widened sidewalks, dedicated bike lanes, updated light fixtures and new crosswalks, create a revitalized sense of place on a safer and more pedestrian-friendly Main Street.
