Creating Authoritative Content in ArcGIS Online

A Review of Best Practices

Empowering end-users to be able to author content on the web is one of the best tools at their disposal. But how many times have you received a call or email from a user trying to figure out where a certain layer is, or which layer is the correct one?

Preparing web layers that are authoritative prior to content creation is crucial. This often overseen step allows for a seamless experience in the content creation process. This Story Map will cover organization verification, thumbnails, symbology, using ArcGIS Arcade in visualization, categories, metadata and more!

The Problem...

How do I know which layer is the right one?

It's not clear which of these layers is the Organization's authoritative Parcels layer.
