Homes Strategy 2020 - 2025
A public consultation on the draft Homes Strategy 2020 - 2025 was launched from 8th December 2020 until 15th February 2021 with local people being asked for their views. The Housing Strategy Team carefully considered all of the responses. Some of the suggestions received relate to policies that are contained within the adopted Local Plan (for example, sites that have already been allocated for housing and the housing standards that apply to new housing developments). Unfortunately, the Homes Strategy cannot supersede policies contained within the adopted Local Plan but we are able to confirm that the Local Plan is subject to a review normally every five years which may provide an opportunity to refresh and update policies relating to housing.
We can also confirm that two changes have been made to the Homes Strategy Action Plan as a direct result of the consultation, see link above
