On left is median household, on right in unemployment rates

  1. Rural Pennsylvania counties ares expericences industrial are relatively high employment rates.
  2. The rate of unemployment is really high in the New Orleans area compared to the household income which is similar to states surrounding it.
  3. California has really high unemployment rates but when you switch it to household income there only a few spots with high levels compared to the rest of the state which is low.
  4. Unemployment is high in rhode island but compared to boston which only has a few spots but the level of household income is quite similar.

In Rhode island, I see that metropolitan regions have the lowest median households incomes. Coastal beach towns have higher median household incomes.

Don't be fooled by the high unemployment rate of Block Island! That is Seasonal!
