Where I've Lived
The places I grew up in and have lived in as an adult.
This is a StoryMap of all the places I've lived.
I was born in Fort Worth nearby Dallas, Texas. My dad was in the military so we moved around every once in a while. They were living in New Jersey at the time so right after I was born I went to New Jersey.
Until I was 6, my family and I lived in Cape May Court House in New Jersey, a little over an hour south of Philadelphia.
From 6 to 10, we lived in New Port Richey, Florida nearby Tampa.
From 10 to 12, I lived in Red Hill, Hawai'i on the island of Oahu. Honolulu is just a bit south-southeast.
After Hawai'i, we moved to Boerne, Texas where my Mom is from. Boerne is about 30 minutes northwest of San Antonio, with I-10 being the major connecting roadway. I lived there until I graduated high school in 2013.
In 2013, I joined the Air Force. Basic Training is at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.
Next up was my training, or "Tech School". This was in Biloxi, Mississippi at Keesler AFB. Biloxi is an hour and a half east of New Orleans.
Next up was my first "duty station", the long-term place I would begin working at. This would be Ramstein Air Base in Germany. Ramstein AB and its adjacent town Ramstein-Miesenbach are about an hour and a half southwest of Frankfurt. It is also pretty close to Germany's western border with France. I got to see a lot while I was there and am very thankful of that.
My second duty station and last stop in the Air Force was in North Carolina at Seymour Johnson AFB in Goldsboro which is an hour southeast of Raleigh.
Next up was my first place of living while attending UTSA! For my first two years I lived here in San Antonio.
Finally, I've since lived north of Boerne, so am now about 45 minutes from San Antonio and UTSA.
