The students at Grinnell are kind and inclusive. They have empowered me to pursue my interests and to gain confidence. New Student Orientation (NSO) was online my first year because of Covid, but as a second-year student I lived together with my NSO group and host.

The third-year students took us under their wing and were really wonderful at helping us feel at home and a part of the campus culture.

All the students were really welcoming! I remember someone I had never met before was making grilled cheese in the dorm kitchen and offered me one; we became really good friends.

During my time here, I have learned that trying new things isn’t that difficult; most are open to everyone.
I’m really happy that the people who are here really want to be here, that they’re very passionate about what they’re studying, and that everyone is really involved.
