Serve Golf Course using Cosumnes River rather than Recycled Water: this option creates additional recycled water volume based on an existing water rights permit that would allow the Golf Course to shift outdoor irrigation demands from recycled to direct Cosumnes River Water use from May through October. This permit allows for direct diversion up to about 74 acre-feet per month if river flows are sufficiently high.

Use Recycled Water for New Connections: simulates a reduction to potable demands if recycled water is used for outdoor irrigation in new (planned) developments with planned infrastructure suitable for recycled water, as identified by the District and modeled by Adkins Engineering. Planned recycled water infrastructure includes a 500,000 gallon reclaimed water storage tank and booster station, the rehabilitation of a 200,000 gallon tank and the installation of a 200,000 gallon tank, distribution improvements, and wastewater reclamation plant improvements. Developments planned to receive recycled water include Murieta Gardens (which is already dual-plumbed), Retreats, Village A, Village B, and Village C.

Use Recycled Water for New Connections and Established Dual-Plumbed Connections: simulates reduction to potable demands if recycled water is used for outdoor irrigation in both new (planned) and established dual-plumbed developments with infrastructure suitable for recycled water, as identified by the District and modeled by Adkins Engineering. The current recycled water system produces about 437 acre feet of recycled water. At buildout, recycled water availability is estimated to be about 970 acre feet during an average year, 881 acre feet during a recent drought year, and 785 during a historic drought year.

Add a new Supply Well Augmentation Project: adds additional volume to storage based on selected pumping capacity for new supply well(s). The District pursued potential groundwater wells in the years immediately following the 2010 Integrated Water Master Plan. A test well was dug with the results shown in the 2013 Production Water Well Assessment Technical Memo, which identified the potential for a 370 GPM well within the western portion of the confined alluvial basin within District boundaries. Recent analysis from Adkins Engineering also identified two additional well volumes to meet indoor domestic demands. These two well volumes include a 1,200 GPM for 3,000 connections and 2,000 GPM to meet build-out conditions. The Model allows the user to select between well volumes as part of this supply augmentation option.
