Camping in Brooksville
First, I absolutely love camping in Florida throughout the winter months. The temperature is nice and cool and provides the perfect weather for campfires and smores. :)
2
Roadtripping
My brother Ian and I like to take road trips through Florida together, and have kicked it up a notch this last year with quarantine. We have been able to go to Devil's Den, Ginnie Springs, and St. Augustine Beach (shown in this picture).
3
Ginnie Springs
There is nothing more awesome and beautiful than going tubing and snorkeling in any of our crystal clear freshwater springs!
4
Home Base
My parents recently moved to north Florida and it's like a whole other state. It's less humid, super hilly, and in some spots, it reminds me of Tennesse. I would love to move up there with them one day!
5
Indian Rocks Beach
Clearwater beach gets a lot of attention, but my favorite beach in Central Florida is Indian Rocks Beach. It's just south of most of the touristy area, beautiful blue water, and plenty of space with limited people.
6
Rainbow River Kayaking
If you have never been to Rainbow River, I highly recommend it! So far, it is my favorite spring to go kayaking and tubing. The river is pretty wide and the first mile to two miles is blue waterways. You also get to see the occasional river otter. :)
P.S. Be careful of the sun! I recently got sun poisoning here and as a Florian, I should know better! Always wear sunscreen.

Work
I'm very lucky to work in an office building that has access to a mile walking trail around a lake. I love to go outside, take a break, and walk around the lake with a couple of co-workers.
My name is Eden Santiago, and I have lived in FL for 15 yrs. I love all the outdoor activities FL has to offer and I try to spend as much time outside as I can! Through this story map, I will take you through my favorite recreational waterways of FL.
