Stories Worth Sharing
As a part of our goal to create and maintain a sustainable and fashionable brand for our workers, we’ve talked to different clothing manufacturers, small business owners, individual designers and customers themselves to determine how best to move the brand forward and service all those who need it. We’ve decided to share a few of their stories to show Where we came from, where we are now and where we’re going.

Men Are From Mars started with a simple proposition, let’s make cheap fashion for working people, people who get up every day and use their hands. Our original plan was to break into an audience that people generally don’t consider for fashion. However, as we learned more about our base and what they stood for, we began to realize that Men are From Mars represents a far greater movement, the idea that being fashionable, taking pride in the way you look and the clothes you wear should not be gatekept by high clothing costs. Men Are From Mars takes pride in providing affordable and durable fashion to the men and women who use their hands to make a living for themselves. We know that these people are the backbone of society and that there should be a line of clothing and fashion that caters to their specific desires and needs. We are more than happy to provide that service and continue to cooperate with workers inside the clothing store and outside it in order to provide the best experiences for our customers.
Men Are From Mars was first founded by Jules and Mark Taylor in 2010. They decieded they wanted to help their community in the Bronx, New York by providing stylish and durable clothing. "We wanted to help people" Jules said in an interview. "The best way we thought we could do that was by providing a solid business for the community, from the community. The Knowles brothers started in a small, single room shop but gained a massive following for being cheap and above all, fashionable. The most iconic piece of clothing that put Men Are From Mars on the map was the iconic super setter's denim jacket. Selling for only $10, the jacked sold approximately 300,000 units within the first five months. From there, the brand went across the states, despite it's success, the founders agreed to keep the prices low. "That's what makes it great," Jules explained. Mark Knowles died in a fire in 2015 but Jules keeps the brand going. Right now the brand is working on how to expand its clothing line to do moer than just make workers look and feel good but safe as well. Men from Mars is working with the U.S Department of Construction to design and implement safer items for construction workers and other kinds of laborers across the country
