Combined Federal Agency Stream Gauges
This map aggregates near-real-time measurements of water depth at hundreds of sensors. The data are collected from several Federal agencies. Click on a dot to see a graph of recent flow. The map updates every hour.
The map also includes a forecast of river levels expected over the next hour. Click on a stream to see information regarding timing of peak flows and their deviation from normal. Data are updated every hour.
10 Day Forecast
Information on the amount of water flowing in streams and rivers is critical to the management of water resources, emergency response to flooding, fisheries management, and many other uses. The stream gauge readings are compiled from a variety of agencies and organizations.
The streams on this map are colored using an algorithm that predicts how far above average the flows will be over the next ten days. Data are updated every 6 hours.
Networks of linked sensors enable us to continually monitor—and map—river conditions across the state.
