What is Open Space?
Open space is any piece of undeveloped land (with no buildings or other built structures) that is accessible to public. This includes green space (community gardens and parks) along with cemeteries, school yards, and more.
Protecting these areas is vital in preserving the habitat of the area and a safe space for public recreational use.

From the start of the open space movement, the state is continuously making strides in acquiring and protecting open space properties.
