The City offers a free shuttle service to reduce vehicle trips along the Orange Avenue corridor during the peak summer season. The Free Summer Shuttle program is sponsored by the City and Discover Coronado and the shuttles are operated by MTS.

Look out for the specially wrapped Free Summer Shuttle buses, with local interior ads, running seven days a week (from Sunday, June 11 to Monday, September 4, from 9:00am to 9:30pm daily, and an hour later on Fridays and Saturdays. The new shuttle bus wrap is a departure from the red vintage Volkswagen bus design that had covered the shuttle buses for the past six years. The design may feel familiar to many in the community as it is based on a public art mural installed on the old Cora Mart building until Vons started its recent renovation. Discover Coronado sponsors the bus wraps.
