A Stage for Everyone: Reimagining Kentucky’s Performing Arts

The Kentucky Performing Arts Market and Feasibility Study

About

The Kentucky Performing Arts Market and Feasibility Study is a transformative initiative to evaluate and enhance the performing arts landscape across the region. This is your opportunity to influence the future of venues that inspire, connect, and reflect the heart of Kentucky. Together, we can ensure the arts thrive for generations to come.

Project Overview

Kentucky’s cultural vibrancy is deeply rooted in its performing arts venues. With venues like the Kentucky Center, Brown Theatre, and Old Forester’s Paristown Hall serving as vital hubs, this study aims to uncover opportunities for Kentucky Performing Arts to better meet the needs of audiences, artists, and the community.

Project Team

Johnson Consulting and MIG have been engaged by Kentucky Performing Arts to conduct a comprehensive market and feasibility study which will identify ways for KPA, which operates the Kentucky Center, Brown Theatre, and Old Forester’s Paristown Hall, to better meet the needs of the Kentucky community today and in the future.

Project Goals

  1. Evaluate the market demand for performing arts programming.
  2. Explore ways to expand access and inclusivity.
  3. Develop a roadmap for sustainable venue upgrades.
