First State National Historical Park

Upstream during the Autumn season of the Brandywine Creek

Trail Map

First State National Historic Park has deciduous forests, streams, and scenic views.  Plus, many miles of trails that are connected to the Brandywine Trail and the Brandywine Delaware State Park.

Brandywine Trail with Brandywine Creek

The National Park Service has a website for  Brandywine Valley Trail Plan Implementation . As a park visitor, I find this to be good news because most trails have been unmarked in years past.

Brandywine Trail

The Brandywine Trail meanders along the Brandywine from the Beaver Creek picnic area south to Thompson's Bridge parking area located off Rt 92 and continues to Rockland Park, where it offers a view of the dam.
