About
The goal is to provide a holistic, long-term transportation vision for the region and serve as a guiding document for improvements to local, regional, and state roads and multimodal transportation networks. Final recommendations will:
- Generate consent regarding a transportation vision and plan from local government and agency stakeholders as well as policy makers and key stakeholders;
- Propose a variety of short-term and long-term solutions that can be adopted into the 2050 Long Range Regional Transportation Plans;
- Result in a multi-modal transportation master plan for the region that maximizes the economic development opportunities and quality of life for residents.
What it isn’t: a transit study, a trails plan, an Arches plan, a US-191 corridor study, or a downtown plan
The Moab & Spanish Valley Regional Transportation Plan is a joint planning effort between the Utah Department of Transportation ( UDOT ) and local stakeholders, including Grand County , San Juan County, City of Moab , and SITLA .
