First designed under the Napoleonic Empire, the top of the Arc de Triomphe offers a spectacular view over the city from up high. we'll walk from the Arc Triomphe down the famous Champs Elysées, ending at the Louvre Museum, formerly a royal palace.

While we don't have a group trip planned to tour this famous art gallery, we will explore its exterior. Students interested in tickets to the Louvre can arrange to visit during one of their unscheduled days!

Notre Dame

After the catastrophic fire, Notre Dame is open and ready for visitors once again. We will visit Notre Dame and explore the historic neighborhood just to the south of it, the Latin Quarter

The Musée d'Orsay

While the Louvre gets a lot of attention, the Musée d'Orsay is (in our opinion) a more enjoyable art museum to tour! Housed in an converted railway station, this museum houses Paris's 19th and early 20th century art (including the Romantics, the Impressionists, and the post-Impressionists)

Palace of Versailles

We will take a day trip to the Palace of Versailles. We'll visit the famous palace, but also its gardens and Marie Antoinette's private village and residence. We'll also enjoy a private behind-the-scenes tour of the royal apartments.

Where an infamous prison once stood there is now a modern Opera house.

Palais Garnier

We will have a private tour of the original nineteenth-century Opera House in Paris, the Palais Garnier. This is one of the most iconic structures built during the second empire of Napoleon III

The Paris Catacombs

We will tour this underground site with the added benefit of having an expert on hand! (Dr Legacey)

Luxembourg Gardens

The Luxembourg Gardens is one of the most popular parks for Parisians to relax in. It houses the French Senate, and miles of carefully maintained paths for strolling. We will visit Luxembourg Gardens on our neighborhood tour of the historic Latin Quarter (home to the Panthéon and the Sorbonne)

We will visit one of Paris's oldest cemeteries at the heart of the Montparnasse neighborhood

We will enjoy dinner in one of these iconic cafés that were the height of fashion among American expatriates in the 1920s

We'll enjoy some world-famous falafels in Paris's historic Jewish quarter and explore the historic neighborhood known as Le Marais.

The baker at Le Petit Mitron will tell you all about how he is one of the few Bakers in Paris who still mills his own flour for bread. We will attend a private afternoon workshop here and learn how to make baguettes and croissants

Montmartre Museum

We we explore the history of this neighborhood high above Paris. Montmartre has long been associated with artists and outcasts.

Sacré Coeur

Built at the very end of the 19th century, Sacré Coeur basilica offers some of the best views of Paris

On our second weekend we will travel to the city of Dijon. We will spend two nights in Dijon and highlights of our trip will include: a visit to the Museum Gastronomy and Wine, a tour of a Burgundy vineyard, and a tour of the Edmond Faillot mustard shop!
