Diet

Tadpoles are herbivores, they tend to eat algae, leaves, and other vegitation.

Most frogs are carnivorous, they prey on invertibrates, small mammals, fish, and reptiles.

Protection from Predators

Although frogs are not as mobile as other species, they do have a few defence mechanisms. Some frogs use camoflauge to hide from predators. The colors can include green, brown, grey, and black.

In addition, some frogs are poisonous. Poisonous frogs tend to not camoflauge but rather appear vibrant in their surrounds. Their colors can include blue, red, yellow, and orange.

Human Use

Not only do frogs play an important role in the ecosystem but they can also directly benefit people.

Some people keep frogs as pets since they are relatively inexpensive and require low-maintence.

Furthermore, some parts of a frog can be edible and is a sought after cuisine, such as frog legs.

Frogs have also been used pharmaceutically. For example, the toxins off of some poison dart frogs have been used to produce epibatidine, a painkiller which is 200 times more potent than morphine.

What's more is the important role frogs play in pop-culture.
