Receiving the 2019 GIS Day proclamation from Judge Executive Knochelmann
"Trisha has made a big difference in many geospatial professionals’ lives in Kentucky and beyond. I was there when she started a movement leading to the creation of KAMP. Her dedication to the cause of GIS professionalism in Kentucky helped popularize the notion of and increase the awareness toward GISP certification as a must for our industry. Trisha’s involvement with URISA has contributed to putting Kentucky in the map. As a manager of GIS, and through work in GIS for her agency, Trisha has fostered innovation and progress in the role of the geospatial “utility” in local and regional government. For example, she helped develop progressive initiatives such as the use of LiDAR and UAV for carrying out her agency’s mission towards taxpayers. Under her encouragement and auspices, her very capable staff have branched out in constantly innovative directions in the field of geospatial. I can only say that Trisha is a paradigm for us to follow as we strive for excellence in our professions. It is a privilege and honor to endorse her, recommending her for her enduring qualities and skills as a GIS professional and administrator." ~Demetrio Zourarakis, GISP, GIS/Remote Sensing Analyst
