Barriers to Services

- The high cost of mental health services is directly tied to the high cost of housing, 2013 RHS Presentation & 2014
- A lack of consistent mental health services and inpatient care exacerbates those experiencing homelessness, often their condition is too severe for them to live with family or maintain a rental property, and so there is nowhere for them to go, 2015 RHS Presentation
- There needs to be more counselors available for individual counseling given the nature of these topics (SUD), 2016 RHS Presentation
