Compared to the rest of the state, the Upper Feather River Watershed lacks protections - only 4% of federal lands and waters are permanently protected, while the state of California has 12%.

ABOUT YOU - DEMOGRAPHICS

Responses per County

Responses were heavy in Plumas & Butte counties, but spread well across the state of California.

Although responses were mainly throughout California, many respondents reside in Nevada, other states, and even a couple in Mexico. Within Plumas County, many responded from Quincy, Greenville, Meadow Valley, Blairsden, and Portola, with others scattered throughout the county.

CONNECTION TO THE REGION

Many respondents were either residents (part- or full-time) or visitors of the Upper Feather River Watershed.

AGE

The age range of respondents was relatively evenly distributed, with a tendency toward 50-70 years old.

GENDER

Again, a pretty even proportion of male and female respondents, with an additional 6% stating other, non-binary, or preferring not to say.
