Using the Landscape Maintenance Request Form

Submitting a landscape service request is now easier than ever!

The updated landscape service request form now supports a new way to submit landscape maintenance requests. You can submit the request directly from your mobile device immediately! This process is intended to be used when you see a problem, rather than waiting until you get to your destination, so we encourage users to fill out requests when they see them. Use the camera and location functionalities on your device to send the most accurate and descriptive request to our landscaping teams. Here's how to use it:

On a mobile device:

Using the Landscape Service Request form

  1. Access the Landscape Maintenance Service Request form by going to  https://facilities.gatech.edu/landscaping  and finding the button that says "Request Landscaping or Grounds service"
    1. You may have to click this link twice on two separate web pages to move forward.
  2. After clicking on the button, you will be redirected to a survey that allows you to input information about the problem
  3. Enter your full name, email address, and select the type of service you are requesting. This helps us to have a point of contact and also to determine which team to send out to complete the request.
  4. Hit the camera button to take a photo right then or hit the middle bar to upload a photo from your camera roll along with your request.
    1. The best photos show the request in a way that is descriptive and helpful for our teams with the context of the surrounding area as well as the area of concern. Oftentimes, photos help our teams determine the proper tools needed for the request more than any text that is included.
  5. The location in the form should be the location of the area of concern. Allowing the survey to access your current location while submitting the request is a great way to add an accurate location.
    1. If you wish to place location manually, click on the map while in the form to place a blue indicator. To move this indicator, simply click in another part of the map. Zoom in using two fingers in a pinching motion or utilize the zoom controls to the map to obtain a more accurate location.
    2. Always double-check to ensure the location is in the location of the request and not where you are currently submitting if you walk away from the location of interest.
    3. It is important to note that even with attaching a photo that has a geolocation tag from where the request is, you must still manually edit the location of the request.
  6. Provide any additional details of the request in the comments section.
  7. Once satisfied, hit the submit button.

A notification will then be automatically sent to our Landscaping team and someone will evaluate the request as soon as possible.

On a Desktop:

If you notice something in need of landscaping attention while on campus, but are not able to submit the request immediately, you can still submit the request using a desktop computer by following these steps:

Using the form with a desktop

  1. Type  https://facilities.gatech.edu/landscaping   into your preferred browser's navigation bar.
  2. On the side of the webpage, select the link that says "Request Landscaping or Grounds support"
  3. From there, select the gold button "Request Landscaping or Grounds Services"
  4. Fill out the form as complete as possible.
    1. The photo you attach should be a photo of the issue. This helps our team determine what is needed to fulfill the request.
    2. When selecting the location of the request, make sure to move the blue selector on the map as close as possible to where you saw the landscape request.
  5. Submit the form.
