The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission (AGFC) is tasked with conserving and enhancing Arkansas's fish and wildlife and their habitats while promoting sustainable use, public understanding and support. Therefore, the AGFC has partnered with Hendrix College to start a research project in July 2020 studying wildlife living in and around Little Rock, North Little Rock, and Maumelle in central Arkansas.

4) Contribute to the Urban Wildlife Information Network (UWIN). This network, coordinated by the Lincoln Park Zoo’s (Chicago) Urban Wildlife Institute, is a partnership of researchers in cities across North America who use specific wildlife camera methods to compare the types of animals that live in different cities. You can find more information on UWIN  here .

2020 Highlights

We currently have 30 cameras running between David D. Terry Dam Site Recreation Area in the east and Pinnacle Mountain State Park in the west.

How can I get a camera on my property?

Send an email to Kim Sparks at Kimberly.Sparks@agfc.ar.gov to get added to an email list where we’ll periodically send project updates and let people know about public presentations and events.
