The reason I am doing new york city as my Story Map Project is because I have family in New York. My aunt lives in new York and only sometimes she can come over to Pennsylvania to visit. She lives in Brooklyn and I went to visit her about 3 years ago. Another Reason I picked New York was because it was the only place where I took professional photos of it.

The city would then be named New York after the Duke of York. Though even before all of those names it was called New Amsterdam.

So much greenery in Central Park.

New York City has been named a pretty good city. One aspect of good that I did research on was how green the city was thinking. I think it's safe to say that New York is a very green city. In the ranking of The United States of America,Vermont came in 1st and new york city came in right behind.

Some gardens in New York.

Though the Greenery of New York is very good,it's still pretty trashy, literally. New York is known for their very trashy and dirty city. Only about 17 percent of garbage is recycled, it has the highest amount of garbage in the landfill per year, and the most energy used with the equivalent of one oil supertanker every 1.5 days.

The oldest pizzeria in history and the many times best rated pizzeria in the country.

Roberto’s modern Italian fare, served on a side street tucked away from the hubbub of the Bronx’s Little Italy, is a welcome contrast to the red-sauced Italian American food common in the neighborhood.

When Rezdôra set out to push the envelope on the classic Italian menu, it caused a sensation.
