The project will create a 1.3-acre stormwater retention area which shall function as a stormwater bank for the campus holding 155,000 gallon normal pool with 382,000 gallons at overflow. Stormwater will be held in an open pool fed from adjacent buildings and surface drains.  The retained water will feed the irrigation needs of Fred Brown Residence Hall, the pedestrian mall extension, and the Rocky Top Dining Hall. It will collect stormwater from Andy Holt Avenue, Fred Brown, PCB, and South Carrick. Improvements will include a waterfall, seating areas, landscape, site lighting, and outdoor wireless for the student, faculty, and staff use.

College of Nursing Building

The project will create a new 117,000-square-foot, five-story building. The project includes 7 Classrooms, 250 Seat Auditorium, 17 Nursing Sim Spaces, and an Outdoor Teaching/Event Plaza.

Neyland Stadium Renovations

Lindsey Nelson Stadium Renovations

Renovations / Additions to Lindsey Nelson Stadium, including 180,000 GSF that will include Expanded Seats & Accessibility, Utilities, Press Box, Game Day, Lighting, and Scope. It will also increase seating from 7,500 to 10,000 and improve Game Day Experience.

Jenny Boyd Carousel Theatre

The project will create a new 20,000 square-foot building dedicated to replace the oldest theatre at the University of Tennessee. The Theatre has a 300-seat, multi-configurable theatre with a two-level lobby to provide accessible at both levels of the theatre. A Patron's Lounge, with a catering kitchen will provide a multi-use event space to support both the Carousel and Clarence Brown Theatres as well as available for uses not specific to the theatre. Back-of-house support spaces include Green Room, four Dressing Rooms, Make-up, and shop spaces for scenic and technical support of the theatre space.

Poplar Residence Hall being built on the corner of Andy Holt Avenue & 20th Street. The building is planned for 173,500 GSF with 7 stories and 790 beds, including common space and offices for UTK Housing as well as RISE Development.

Beacon Residence Hall being built as two separate buildings between Caledonia Avenue and Terrace Avenue. The buildings are planned for 267,000 GSF with 9 stories plus lower levels on Lake Avenue with a total of 1,028 beds. There will be additional common spaces and offices for RISE development.

Multiple maintenance and utility projects, including electrical panel replacements, new chiller & pumps, replacing interior doors & painting, new access control.

Complete renovation of the Presidential Court Building, to house Student Life programs as well as Aramark offices, food delivery robot charging & maintenance, package lockers, and a coffee shop concept. The project will include new MEP systems, new glazing, and a new roof.

Renovations / Additions to Lindsey Nelson Stadium, including 180,000 GSF that will include Expanded Seats & Accessibility, Utilities, Press Box, Game Day, Lighting, and Scope. It will also increase seating from 7,500 to 10,000 and improve Game Day Experience.

Budget: $95.85 Million and $71 Million Construction

Jenny Boyd Carousel Theatre

The project will create a new 20,000 square-foot building dedicated to replace the oldest theatre at the University of Tennessee. Thompson-Boling Arena Renovation & Systems Improvements

Renovations to the Thompson-Boling Arena including redoing all the exterior door, including the concourse gates, with canopies that are on the exterior. Multiple maintenance and utility projects, including electrical panel replacements, new chiller & pumps, replacing interior doors & painting, new access control.

Budget: $12.8 Million (budget does not support Subproject 3 (phase 3)

Work being done in phases:

Subproject 2 - Summer 2022, Expanded stage, (Work Completed)

Subproject 1- January 2024, All gates, arena level doors, redundant chiller installation, electrical panel modernization.

Subproject 3- TBD, Ray Mears Room renovation, concrete repairs, dressing room renovations & upgrades, new collapsible bleachers, new scoreboard, AHU replacement. (Budget does not currently support this phase of work.)

Presidential Court Renovation

Complete renovation of the Presidential Court Building, to house Student Life programs as well as Aramark offices, food delivery robot charging & maintenance, package lockers, and a coffee shop concept. The project will include new MEP systems, new glazing, and a new roof.

Budget: $30 Million

Schedule: TBD based on project funding and designer selection. Most likely scenario is completion for Fall 2027 semester. Highly optimistic scenario would be Fall 2026 if project is released ASAP.
