Williams County, OH Parks

Our County Parks Board maintains some beautiful parks. Scroll down and check them out.

Our Parks

The Williams County Parks Board looks after 3 beautiful parks and roughly 6 miles of the  Wabash Cannonball Trail . Offering places for the community to gather together or with their families.

Opdycke Park

Opdycke park was established in 1988. The 50 acre park was set aside from the property of the County Infirmary (County Home) in honor of retiring County Engineer Leonard Opdycke and his family, who were also public servants.

The Barn at Opdycke Park has been used for several get togethers, outdoor weddings, and is available for rent.

We've Got Disc Golf!

Recently established in 2021 and hosted it's first tournament already. Putter Partner Palooza was hosted in the Spring 2022. Check back for future tournaments.

Hidden History

A cemetery that is presumed to be used to bury indigenous people that were once housed at the neighboring county infirmary.

George Bible Park

George Bible Park was established on a portion of farm owned by an early settler of Williams County named George Bible. He moved here back when there were more Bears than settlers.

Aesthetic Bridge!

Who doesn't love to take a photo on or of a beautiful bridge?!

Goldie Newman Wildlife Area

In 1974, the Williams County Commissioners accepted 50 acres of land, willed to them by Goldie Newman, to be used as a wildlife sanctuary.

We've Got Fishing!

Bring your fishing poles! The pond you see was stocked with bass, catfish, bluegill, and white amur in 1989 for the enjoyment of whatever fisherman that finds themselves here.

Wabash Cannonball Trail

Williams County monitors only 6 of the 60 plus mile trail. Take the trail by foot, bicycle, or in some areas horseback and find the hidden items left behind by geocachers.

We've Got Amenitites!

There are numerous places to park, eat, and use the restroom along the trail.
